I've designed and penned engaging emails, written and orchestrated social media marketing efforts across multiple platforms, written and distributed press releases, formed partnerships with influencers and companies, designed and executed hundreds of national online giveaways, written hundreds of blog posts, crafted slogans and themes utilized across multiple media and utilized analytics and SEO to help increase visibility, engagement and traffic for websites, apps and video games.
I've written and designed assets for corporate websites, news sites, blogs, catalogs, newsletters, mobile apps, video games, digital marketplaces and promotional signage. I also managed content and created early designs for Ohio.com, the Akron Beacon Journal's website.
I've written for multiple newspapers, websites and news services, reported news, interviewed celebrities, written feature articles and followed industry trends. I also had a regular, weekly column in two city-based entertainment magazines and, for a short time, had radio reviews broadcast across the US.
I helped launch a game- and tech-centric site, forming a staff of international writers and breaking into the top 30 video game sites, regularly reaching more than 250,000 uniques. I also edited multiple manga titles for an international publisher and was a proofreader for a high-end retail company.
I've created websites for companies of all sizes and designed - or redesigned - logos, website templates, signage and marketing assets for national online promotions. I've also designed the UI/UX for mobile apps and co-submitted a patent for a mobile app plugin. During the formative years of the "information super highway," my work helped sites earn awards before the Webby was a thing.
I've created and presented business plans and pitch documents for new products, worked with start-ups to develop and execute effective e-commerce strategies and social media experiences, drafted GDDs (Game Development Documents) for internal and external projects and co-created and co-operated a successful small business with my wife.
I'm writing and editing a comic/graphic novel with local artist and indie comic creator, Dan Barlow. I'm also writing a book of fun and silly poems, a Hallmark-style movie script and editing a book. I also periodically update the content for CharlotteNicolestudio.com
